Current Affairs around Us
What do we all think of current affairs? We all have our own definitions and we all react to them differently. There are many factors that help us to define current affairs. For somebody who lives in Kashmir, in a vulnerable environment, current affairs are attached with sentiments. They live in the fear of danger every now and then; hence it is vital for them to stay updated with the current happenings around them. Similarly, for somebody who is preparing for competitive exam, current affairs hold academic value. For most of us, it is the mere occurrence of events/incidents all around the world. We always wonder, how does a high corruption level in Haryana affect us? It does, everything affects us eventually. Such is the power of current affairs; it brings together people irrespective of the locality, community, religion, sex, age, etc.
It brings them together, to share their views, voice their opinions and makes them realize that they are a part of a much bigger and dynamic group called the Human Race.
Current affair knowledge is entertainment for some, education for some, or merely news for some. While some young students watch sports news with excitement, just to get a glimpse of the personal life of their sport star, a mother who has heard about a bomb blast watches the news channel with fear and hope. It has different meanings and different impacts on us.
However, we all should not live under the myth that does not affect us. Merely sitting at home, thinking we are safe is a big mis-conception and should be resolved immediately. It is a vulnerable world, full of dangers and we as human beings are never safe.
Therefore, it is very important for us to act quickly and become a part of the current affairs. We should always be updated and voice our opinion against the evils done in the society. If Haryana is a corrupted state, so is Delhi and others. We as citizens of India, should work together to mitigate the impact of any problem prevailing around us. For this, we need to be regular with reading newspapers or watching news channels. This would keep us connected with the world around us, and prepare us for emergencies.
Today, current affairs spread like wild fire and they are accessible to every corner of the world. We all have the right to know, the right to speak and the right to participate. India, being the biggest democracy of the world, provides us with the right to take part in the ongoing political, social, environmental events that take place around us.
Be it sports news, or business news or any other news, we need to be updated. Our knowledge should not be confined to our city/ or country but should include all the vital information of the world.
